Statista is one of the largest statistics portals to integrate data on over 60.000 topics from over 18.000 sources onto a single professional platform. Categorized into numerous market sectors, Statista provides direct access to more than 1.5 million statistics, visually displayed in charts and infographics, forecasts, reports and dossiers on media, business, finance, social sciences, politics and a wide variety of other areas of studies.

This training session will focus on two databases, Amadeus and Sabi (from Bureau van Dijk).
Amadeus contain comprehensive information on around 21 million companies across Europe. It can be used to research individual companies, search for companies with specific profiles and for analysis. Sabi contains detailed information on companies in Spain and Portugal.
In this session you will learn how to search company information, how to create company lists and reports, and how to analyse data.

We are jointly organising this three-day training course, presenting a set of statistical and econometric tools essential for researchers in econometrics, with a direct application in Stata software. Many of the topics covered are of interest of real-world data analysis.
This is an introductory-intermediate level course that aims to provide the full set of tools and techniques that any modern applied economist needs to know. Participants will learn the techniques properly using the software Stata.
The course is composed of five modules: Introduction to Stata, Data Management, Graphics, Descriptive Statistics and Introduction to Econometrics.
